Corey Egan

General Manager Corey Egan enjoys over 20 years in the steel industry. Launching his career as a ship builder for Tenix Defence Systems, (Williamstown, Melbourne, Hamburg), Corey gained valuable experience in pipework, pressure tank manufacture, along with fabrication of sonar and radar systems, (welds being regularly tested for penetration by Australian Defence). He also spent a year in the drawing office interpreting and designing ship workshop drawings to Australian Standards. Add to that a six month period in the on-site labs learning about the properties of metals, and Corey was well equipped to start his own business manufacturing custom made rails and components for both the building and marine industries.

Mat Egan

Corey’s brother, Mat Egan, brings his extensive knowledge of plastics and pipe welding to the business. Having also learned his trade at Tenix Defence Systems, Mat has worked as a foreman building stainless steel tanks and pipework for large industrial installations throughout NSW. He is expert
in large chemical works.

Both Corey and Mat have pressure welding tickets, elevated work tickets, welding tickets and green/red cards for on-site OH&S Safety. Crafted Stainless also employs an onsite welding inspector.
